JEV – The educational guide to a healthy feminist democracy!

The Jeunes en vigie (JEV) project is an innovative initiative in Burkina Faso and Senegal that aims to strengthen youth participation in health decision-making bodies through health democracy with a feminist approach.

The teaching guide resulting from this highly instructive experience offers a structured compilation of best practices and lessons learned throughout the JEV project. It addresses topics such as empowerment, youth political engagement, community awareness, collaboration with local authorities, and the implementation of transformative policies.

The guide outlines step-by-step instructions for collectively and progressively building inclusive and democratic health systems.

For organizations or activists wishing to get involved in this movement, the guide offers practical advice and concrete recommendations. This advice is designed to help actors design, implement, and evaluate similar projects, taking into account feminist approaches and specific contexts.

In summary, the guide is a valuable resource for those who wish to promote feminist democracy in health and strengthen citizen participation, offering both solid lessons and practical advice for action.
