The Feminist Fund
Equipop is a feminist fund that provides financial support to 111 projects and 70 partners in 12 countries, with a total of €8.5 million in outstanding loans. This financial support is coupled with tailored technical assistance and the strengthening of collective empowerment, which is a particularly important focus for the association.
Why?
According to AWID, women's rights organizations receive only 0.13% of official development assistance (ODA), and only 0.42% of foundation grants go to women's rights projects*. Yet providing substantial funding to feminist movements is a powerful way to advance equality.

How?
By providing feminist movements with secure and flexible funding in line with a feminist approach to financing. This translates, among other things, into:
▶ limit competition between organizations by issuing restricted calls for expressions of interest;
▶ Develop strategic and trusting partnerships fueled by regular dialogue between partner organizations and Equipop.
▶ Facilitate access to financing tailored to the different needs of organizations, including their operating costs, through the implementation of four financial mechanisms.
