– Open letter: an international call to fund feminist movements

Two months ahead of the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4), to be held in Seville, Equipop and its partners have brought together 268 organizations from 61 countries in a collective effort to send a clear message: there is an urgent need to defend gender equality and increase funding for feminist organizations.

In the current context of violent and coordinated attacks on development aid, and particularly on gender equality, this conference, and the long process of negotiations leading up to it, are crucial: they will define development funding priorities for the next ten years.    In an open letter to governments and stakeholders of FfD4, we call for:

  • Not backing down on gender equality, taking a strong stance against anti-rights offensives
  • Rebuild a sustainable financial architecture for feminist organizations by strengthening and replicating mechanisms such as the FSOF, established by the French government.
There is still time to join the movement. TheThe list of signatories will be regularly updated on our website. Sign the letter using the following form.
