A specific advocacy on SRHR

At the end of 2019, Equipop initiated an international mobilization that led the FGE organization to endorse the existence of an SRHR action coalition. Equipop therefore contributed to the work surrounding this coalition through several entry points.

Mobilizing governments and civil society in French-speaking West Africa

Equipop advocates for the adoption of feminist public policies at the national and international levels. With this in mind, Equipop has campaigned for the Generation Equality Forum (GEF) to result in ambitious financial commitments, particularly in favor of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), the fight against gender-based violence, and other issues.
After the Generation Equality Forum

A total of $40 billion for gender equality was announced in Paris in early July 2021, including $23 billion from governments. This impressive aggregate figure will remain an abstraction unless each individual commitment is fulfilled.
Amplifying feminist voices

In West Africa, as in other parts of the world, we are witnessing a renewal of the fight for gender equality, with the emergence of young feminist voices linking new repertoires of action to historic struggles for women's rights.
