This Monday, June 3, marks the start of the most important international conference of the 21st century in Vancouver, Canada. Dedicated to gender equality and the health, rights, and well-being of girls and women, this fifth edition of Women Deliver brings together more than 8,000 activists, researchers, journalists, politicians, and donors around the theme "Power. Progress. Change."
Equipop will be present with its young feminist partners from West Africa and partnersfrom Alliances Droits et Santé, participating in or co-organizing a number of conferences and debates.

Together, we will promote the transformative potential of feminist approaches to building a more just and sustainable world whenever possible. We will raise our voices in support of the participation of young people and women in all their diversity. We will hammer home the need for a renewed partnership in French-speaking Africa, a region that still receives too little attention. We will share our experiences so that women have full control over their bodies, whether through access to information and contraception, safe abortion and safe motherhood, or protection from sexual mutilation. We will explore the levers that can be activated to accelerate change. We will learn from the diverse and complementary expertise that will be represented and strengthen our ties with this wonderful community.
Because one thing is certain: progress will be collective, and it is together, drawing on our differences and complementarities, that we will develop effective and sustainable responses to advance the rights of all women and girls.
