– Celebration of the abandonment of female genital mutilation and early marriage in Kayes, Mali

More than 800 Malians gathered on Saturday, December 3, in the village of Sabouciré N'di in the Kayes region of Mali to celebrate the abandonment of female genital mutilation and early marriage by 41 villages. Photographs and videos of the ceremony, taken by two professionals present for the occasion, will soon be compiled into a web documentary.

– "Protecting the Next Generation," on the way to ending female genital mutilation in 150 villages!

Last November, Equipop's project manager spent a few days in Bamako with the team working on the "Protecting the Next Generation" project. This mission marked the official launch of a new phase of the project. In 2015/2016, Equipop is expanding its activities to 50 new villages in the Kayes health district in northwestern Mali.
