The project

In 2012, the NGO RAES launched the "C'est la vie!" (CLV) program, a 360° communication initiative aimed at bringing about behavioral change in the areas of sexual and reproductive health, maternal and child health, gender-based violence, and quality of healthcare. This initiative is based on the approach of education through entertainment.

The overall objective of Phase II, funded by AFD, is to support adolescents and young people in adopting safer behaviors in terms of sexual and reproductive health and to assist them in asserting their rights.

Implemented in Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Niger, and Senegal, Phase II of the "C'est la vie!" program focuses on:

  1. Empowering adolescents and young people, particularly young girls and young women, in order to rethink power relations between women and men and create the conditions for fair and equal access to SSRAJ services.
  2. Strengthening the quality of SSRAJ services by improving the care provided for the specific needs of adolescents and young people, particularly girls and young women, in healthcare facilities.

RAES, responsible for production and community communication campaigns, works with Equipop, which implements advocacy, gender integration, and organizational strengthening components, as well as Solthis, which works closely with health facilities to improve the provision of and access to DSSRAJ services.
