Equipop is a feminist international solidarity association that works for a fair and sustainable world where everyone's rights, particularly sexual and reproductive rights, are respected without discrimination based on sex or gender. With a team of fifty people spread across West Africa, North Africa, and Europe, Equipop mobilizes citizens and politicians, supports frontline associations, conducts action research projects, publishes studies, and organizes training courses.

Job description

The advocacy assistant will report to the Advocacy and Research Manager.

Main duties and responsibilities

The advocacy assistant will have four main responsibilities:

  1. Participate in the implementation of Equipop’s advocacy strategy, develop talking points, and support research efforts (e.g., on issues related to backlash, masculinism, feminist diplomacy, etc.), and monitor media and political developments
  2. Strategic and logistical support for the planning of events related to Equipop’s advocacy efforts and in connection with national and international milestones (e.g., France’s G7 presidency in 2026, the 2027 presidential campaign, etc.)
  3. Support for civic engagement (developing the “Equipe Hope” youth volunteer group and supporting the organization of various campaigns by Equipop and its partners)
  4. Occasional contributions to other projects within the organization

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in international relations or political science, humanities, communication;
  • Knowledge of the nonprofit sector;
  • Interest in social issues and French and international politics;
  • Interest in gender equality issues.

  • French, spoken and written

Duration

  • 4- to 6-month internship
  • Internship start date: September

Salary / Compensation

  • Regulatory internship allowance
  • 50% coverage of transportation costs
  • 60% of meal vouchers
